Jonathan Cusick is a versatile painter whose approach balances caricature and naturalism, maintaining a believable but irreverent reality. A supremely capable caricaturist and illustrator, he sometimes produces distinctive portraits. Find plentiful examples of his work in the caricature portfolio and illustration portfolio.

Since graduating with a first in Illustration, Jonathan has illustrated many prominent magazines and notable advertising campaigns, including The Times, Sainsbury’s Magazine, Random House,
Independent on Sunday, Toblerone, Men’s Health, The Guardian, BMP DDB, New Statesman, Daily Mirror, BBC Music magazine, Asda Magazine, Euromoney, Lowe Lintas, Express Newspapers, and extensive work for the Radio Times. Since March 2007 he has illustrated Caitlin Moran's television column in The Times with a weekly caricature.

His work has won a number of awards. During his art education, in 1995, Jonathan was awarded the British Cartoonist’s Association and The Times Young Cartoonist of the Year (Under 30), being given the overall award despite his entry in the under 18 category. In 1998 this was followed by a British Design and Art Direction (D&AD) Student Award (Illustration) and in 1999 the Association of Illustrators Student Award. In November 2007 he was given the Cartoon Art Trust Award for Caricature, which was presented to him by Prunella Scales. His work has regularly been selected for the AOI’s 'Images' annuals, which he has also Judged. At the tender age of eight, a self portrait was awarded a runners-up prize in a 'Portland Bill' TV Times drawing
competition, possibly giving him the taste for glory...
