Amelie Hegardt came onto the illustration scene with a big bang in 2006. She did extensive work for avantgarde European magazines, though had little exposure to bigger established brands.
Her tightly rendered psychedelic, doodle-like, overloaded india ink and watercolor images are inspirational of the elegance of fashion silhouettes from the 1920's through to the hipster 60's psychedelic rock. You will consistently find Amelie's own beautiful face and personal style within this work, as well.
Amelie studied fine art at the Stockholm School of Art, received a diploma in Art History from Stockholm University, and rounded out her studies At Central Saint Martins, London.
Today, being the toast of the town, Amelie's client list has quickly added MAC Cosmetics, Glamour Magazine, Coterie, Black Book, Elle, Godiva Chocolates, Holt Renfrew, Marie Claire, Maxi Magazine, Bloomingdales, New York City Ballet, Umberto Giannini and Vogue Giogello Italia.
