+...MaRTiN KLiMaS...+





German photographer Martin Klimas has an interesting series of photographs in his portfolio capturing dropped objects such as porcelain statuettes exploding at the point of impact.

He drops clay figurines from the same height in complete darkness with the camera lens open. When the figurine hits the ground, the sound of the impact triggers the lights to go on for a fraction of a second. The shots depict a moment in the process of explosion where a “new structure” exists for an instant.
