In 2003, Anna Richardson and her partner Blair Mackichan moved into the Hastings property and transforming it into their dream home.

They scoured local auction houses for second-hand oil paintings and unique mirrors; they spent hours sanding down original floorboards and reupholstering old tables; and they ripped out walls to form large open-plan spaces. Now their home boasts a cosy kitchen-diner, 4 glamorous bedrooms, a snug, 3 bathrooms and an attic room, which is Blair's studio.
